The Health Research Authority (HRA) is the national organisation which protects and promotes the interests of patients and the public in health and social care research. It is an arm’s length body of the Department of Health and Social Care (DHSC), which means the Government has devolved some of its responsibilities to the HRA but it remains accountable to DHSC.
You will find information about the training and skills requirements for clinical researchers on the HRA website: www.hra.nhs.uk/planning-and-improving-research/best-practice/researcher-suitability-and-training/
